Piazza
The city centre of Addis Ababa and the second main shopping area provides
a relatively calm environment, and in many cases better quality goods
than Merkato. Piazza is also a jewellery centre of the city. You can
find gold, silver, nickel, and brass of both domestic and foreign origin.
Merkato
The largest open market in East Africa! One can find a vast selection
of grains, spices, cloths, ironware, pots etc. As local peoples say.
“Merkato
is a place to find whatsoever apart from the human soul, then to bargain”
Churchill
Avenue
A little distance from the Piazza. A wide variety of shops specialising
in Ethiopian handicraft and other interesting tourist souvenirs. Especially
smaller shops near to the main post office have got a variety of souvenirs
from traditional to modern ones.

is kept.
