  1. Day 1 Arrival at Location

    Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, You will be greeted with the traditional Ethiopian hospitality at the airport and transferred to the hotel. (Depending on your arrival time we can arrange afternoon or after hour city tour)

  2. Day 2 Scenic Tour of City

    EntotoMountains by Surface: A full day in the Entoto National Park – (horseback trekking can also be arranged) The Entoto Mountains lie immediately north of Addis Ababa, in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. They are known for their views over the capital, and are the location for Addis Ababa’s immediate predecessor as capital. These mountains are home to numerous churches, a museum of religious costume, and a park.

  3. Day 3 Cultural Minglings

    Debre Libanos Monastry by Surface: Sululta plain, Debre Libanos and the Jemma River Gorge. Debre Libanos is a monastery in Ethiopia, lying northwest of Addis Ababa in the Oromia Region. The abbot of Debre Libanos, called the Ichege, was the second most powerful official in the EthiopianChurch after the Abuna. In the reign of Emperor Fasilides, after invading Oromos had ravaged the monastery’s lands in Shewa the Emperor granted the Ichege his palace at Azazo, where the various Ichege lived

  4. Day 4 Get to Know Country

    Menagesha Forest by Surface: Menagesha is the big forest visible from almost all over Addis.  Although the more visible side of the mountain is not so heavily forested, behind the forest is thick and wonderful. To get there you have to drive quite far south down Jimma road, over 30 kilometers from Menelik Square and about 12 km past Alem Gena where the Meta beer factory is. A full day with picnic lunch in Menagesha Forest (about 50 km) and return to Addis Ababa late afternoon choosen hotel.

  5. Day 5 Ride the Elephant

    After early breakfast we will visit the National Museum (a multi-collections representing Ethiopia’s past and present image). Among the famous exhibits, the 3.5 million year old skeleton of ‘Lucy’ is worth visiting. We will also visit the Ethiopian Studies Institute Ethnological

    museum for it’s extraordinarily collection of the priceless and varied ethnic medley. Then we continue driving up to the mount (over 3000 meters) Entoto, the first seat of Emperor Menelik II before he established Addis Ababa as the capital of Ethiopia in 1886. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit Trinity Cathedral and Merkato. Along our way we will have the chance to see avenues, squares, obelisks and many places of interests and shopping. Early evening, we will have a coffee ceremony to show our appreciation for touring with us, Fest Ethiopia Travel & Tour. Late at night transfer to the BoleInternationalAirport and depart for home.
